Transparency and control over company data in the Microsoft 365 cloud
Classic file systems are increasingly being replaced by SharePoint, SharePoint Online and OneDrive In most cases, the data is copied one-to-one in an uncontrolled manner. The DataGovernance Solution (DGS) is a central management platform for unstructured data stored locally on file servers, in SharePoint, Exchange and in the Office 365 cloud. Organizations get full transparency and control over their data with the DGS. You are immediately able to answer all essential questions about data stock, data quality, storage structure, information lifecycle, authorizations, ownership, data protection and risks within seconds and to manage your data efficiently. DGS is based on an “information-centric” approach and uses big data and data mining concepts. The various pieces of information can be linked and analyzed interactively in an OLAP cube. Actions can be executed directly from the analysis, from the Enterprise Search or rule-based and automated: search, classify, migrate, protect, delete. The core of the solution is the high-performance Meta Information System (MIS) with an inventory and history of all data objects. At regular intervals, file and mail repositories are scanned for new or changed objects, the metadata is extracted and the content is indexed. A profile is created in the MIS for each individual document or mail. This can be automatically linked to information from CRM, ERP, HR systems, Active Directory or external lists. From this, a structured business view of the unstructured data is automatically generated. Special functions are integrated for SharePoint and Office365 Cloud to efficiently cleanse, reorganize, keyword, automatically migrate data, correct hyperlinks and much more.
