The DataGovernance Solution (DGS) is a unique, comprehensive solution for interactively or automatically structuring and classifying millions of data objects and generating a business view of unstructured data. The solution is based on an “information-centric” approach and uses big data and data mining concepts. Data objects on file repositories, in SharePoint, Exchange, Office365 are scanned, analyzed, structured and classified. An inventory is created in a meta information system (MIS) and a profile of meta information, content and permissions is created for each data object. These profiles, in turn, are automatically supplemented with structured data from the business systems (ERP, CRM, HR, Active Directory, etc.) or external lists. All information can be linked to each other based on rules and millions of objects can be automatically assigned to a category and continuously reclassified. DGS has an integration with Microsoft File Classification Infrastructure and writes the classification directly into the data object or file system. The solution has many useful additional functions: identifying data owners of orphaned data, visualizing the storage location of classified objects, interactively checking the effectiveness of classification rules, analyzing authorizations for classified documents and much more.
