However, structuring and classification is also necessary in order to efficiently manage information in companies and to distinguish business-critical data from irrelevant or outdated data. Many companies have been dealing with the topic for years. Most have failed due to the large amounts of unstructured data. How can the millions of data objects that have accumulated over the years be reliably and consistently classified? How can the business dynamics be addressed and the data continuously reclassified over the lifecycle? How can the responsible data owners be identified and successfully integrated into the process?<\/p>\n<h2>Structure and classify millions of data objects automatically with big data and data mining<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/datagovernance.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/DGS_Data-Sheet_DGS-Suite.pdf\">DataGovernance Solution (DGS)<\/a> is a unique, comprehensive solution for interactively or automatically structuring and classifying millions of data objects and generating a business view of unstructured data. The solution is based on an &#8220;information-centric&#8221; approach and uses big data and data mining concepts. Data objects on file repositories, in SharePoint, Exchange, Office365 are scanned, analyzed, structured and classified. An inventory is created in a meta information system (MIS) and a profile of meta information, content and permissions is created for each data object. These profiles, in turn, are automatically supplemented with structured data from the business systems (ERP, CRM, HR, Active Directory, etc.) or external lists. All information can be linked to each other based on rules and millions of objects can be automatically assigned to a category and continuously reclassified. DGS has an integration with Microsoft File Classification Infrastructure and writes the classification directly into the data object or file system.
